The B&S9492 SHELL goggle is a great quality prescription swimming goggle supplied as a part kit that needs some assembling.

Manufactured with clear, shock resistant polycarbonate lenses with an anti-fog coating to prevent misting. These goggles are hypo-allergenic and provide 100% UV protection.

The B&S9492 SHELL assembly kits are available in black or blue, both with transparent lenses.

    Strip broken

    I bought these as my prescription swimming goggles, but I’m very disappointed. I only used them four times and the strap already broke. They also loosen up quickly while swimming, which makes it hard to focus on learning. The lenses got blurry very quickly, and it became even worse when swimming fast. For prescription goggles, I expected much better quality.

    Thanks for the feedback and pictures.

    I am not sure you had the strap fitted correctly if it was slipping and it doesn't look broken, just unthreaded.

    The strap should be threaded through the clip first, then through the end of the lens and finally back through the clip. This video may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhX2SSYQdqQ&t=82s.

    The lenses are pre-treated with an anti-fog coating but sometimes this needs topping up.
    The blurriness is due to sweat condensing on the inner lens surface and the amount varies between swimmers.
    A top tip is to put the goggles on while they and you are dry and use extra anti-fog spray before every swim.

    I have had a pair of these for nearly 5 years and use them 5 days a week. The have been excellent but the rubber has started to perish, hence my repeat purchase. If I get as good service out of the new pair, I will be very happy indeed.

    Clear vision / works well!

    I was surprised by how well I could see - just about perfectly - even though I couldn't order a precise match to my prescription. The instructions were easy to follow, and the price was really reasonable.
